Sketching at Villa Savoye

I’m a 22-year-old working towards an M-Arch degree at YSOA.

After completing a B.S. in Interior Design and a B.A. in French at Virginia Tech, I spent a few months in France, teaching English. I began this blog to document my experiences abroad, and decided to keep writing once I got back.

So far, my only known readers are my high school English teachers, my family, stragglers from Facebook, people searching for pictures of French chateaus, and Dino’s dad. Please, feel free to join in the revelry.

I believe conversation is one of the best ways of learning, so please drop a comment if you’ve read a post, otherwise it’s just me blathering on to the empty internet ether!

Dear “Quick Brown Fox”, I’m a professor at the University of Redlands in California. I’m prepping for my Spring Drawing class and came across your drawings and images here. My search began with A. Rodin and I found your sketch of a sculpture in the R. Museum. I was wondering, if I might use some of your sketches as reference images in class? I’d like the students to see your sketches–someone traveling and observing. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Anna M. Gaitan
